The I Ching is a Chinese almanac that identifies the waxing/waning cycles of a living energy known as Qi. The I Ching is a unique divination book in the world, it has no official religion orthodoxy to establish doctrine. Its purpose is to increase mindfulness of the user not to predict the future. It's not the place that determines the future, it's the timing or the phase cycle.
We present the I Ching in a style suitable for the modern world. Digital Dragon brings the original divination technology back for your entertainment and recreation.
The History of I Ching
Digital Dragon uses I Ching's algorithms to map the flow of qi through the 2 main acupuncture circuits. This qi flow occurs inside biweekly (384 hours = 16 days) envelope. Digital Dragon generates a chart of this qi flow after the casting is complete. With this chart you can decide if you are prepared for the decisions that are present with or without the I Ching telling you about them.
The line texts found in Digital Dragon I Ching are autotranslated from Chinese. The basic documents from the various schools of I Ching were burned in 156 AD. All editions of the I Ching as we in the West know them as based upon the "official verison" with its 10 appendices. The so called oral tradition does not exist to our knowledge. We all have a open field of discovery before us to explore without restrictions of a school of interpretation. Digital Dragon is the first product to apply Golden Ratio principles to the I Ching in software form. The old architects of the sacred temples used the same principles to construct resonant containers for human enrichment.
Casting Instructions
The Digital Dragon interface is based upon the Chinese diviner's board unearthed in 146 AD. With our interface, your hand motions measure your own Qi phase positions. No dice odds here, keep your yarrow stalks in the bag, only the Golden Ratio.
To get a reading on your own energy field, a hexagram pattern (6 lines) is constructed from your 6 tosses. A single right button click generates a coin toss. The 6 lines of the hexagram reflect your temporal 'Qi signature' everytime you cast the coins. The 'coin tosses' are translated into hexagrams (binary Fibonacci numbers) and yellow dots.
The main screen has 3 active screen objects. Those are the 2 hex-line boxes (marked Time0 and Time1) and a blue circle (Great Field of Action). The 2 hex-line boxes represent the chi patterns for the 2 main acupuncture circuits as a total of 12 lines.
The blue circle represents the oscillation patterns of 2 master circuits; Governor Circuit and Conception Vessel circuit as measured by your hand motions.To view interactive acupuncture charts Click here
